Stereolab - Mars Audiac Quintet (Expanded Edition)
    31.98
Along with Transient Random Noise Bursts, this is one of the key releases in Stereolab's incredible journey to being one of the most reliable groups (or should that be groops) of the 90s/00s. The early Krautrock influences are there, but so are the poppier melodies that were a big part of their later sound. Finally reissued on this beautifully put together set, it's great to hear just how timeless their music still is. Perfect timing for the reunion shows later this year too! Must listen tracks -- Ping Pong, Wow & Flutter and Outer Accelerator.

Transient Random Noise is the exact moment Stereolab turned into one of the finest groups that has ever been. This reissue makes this album sound better than ever. Must listen tracks -- Pack Yr Romantic Mind, Jenny Ondioline and Crest.

Art Brut - Wham! Bang! Pow! Let's Rock Out!
    28.98
It's been a long time since Art Brut released an album. Seven years to be exact. There's a chance you've forgotten just how much fun this ridiculously brilliant band are. Wham! Bang! finds a slightly more mature Eddie Argos contemplating growing older but still singing about those much loved Art Brut tropes (records, women and of course, Top Of The Pops). The humour, self deprecation and excellent playing from the band makes it so good to have them back. Must listen tracks -- I Hope You're Very Happy Together, Awkward Breakfast and Your Enemies Are My Enemies Too.

Billie Eilish - When We Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?
    24.98
Billie Eilish has quickly become one of the biggest stars around. After building up an increasingly large fan-base on line over the last couple of years, she delivers her first album which more than justifies the hype. Her breathy vocals, unique subject matters and quirky production choices make this one of the year's most fresh and thrilling debuts. At just 17 years old, it's exciting to think of where she could possibly go next as an artist after such an impressive start to her career. Must listen tracks -- Bad Guy, You Should See Me In A Crown and I Love You.

The Posies - Frosting On The Beater
    35.98
The most well known and best album by The Posies is yet another one of those great albums that has been hard to find on vinyl for a number of years. The mix of indie rock and power pop just never goes out of style. This is one of those reissues where the artwork and sound of the vinyl does justice to the music itself. Must listen tracks -- Dream All Day, 20 Questions and Burn & Shine.

    Antena - Camino Del Sol
    21.98
Antena's only release in their original incarnation is the definition of a cult album. These five tracks are so perfectly formed with their gentle mix of synth-pop and bossanova that makes a brief but addictive listen. You can hear their influence on The High Llamas and the mighty Stereolab. Reissued as the original track-listing by Numero Group, this is one of the year's best reissues so far. Must listen tracks -- Silly Things, Camino Del Sol and Bye Bye Papaye.

Durand Jones & The Indications - American Love Call
    23.98
The second studio album by Durand Jones & The Indications takes the good work of their S/T debut and improves their winning formula. A beautiful light soul album that despite its retro leanings, still manages to sound remarkably refresh. And what a voice too. So rich and soothing making American Love Call the perfect summer soundtrack. Must listen tracks -- Morning In America, Too Many Tears and Court Of Love.

The Mothers Of Invention - We're Only In It For The Money

The Beta Band - Hot Shots II
    34.98
People (and the movie High Fidelity) may tell you that The Three EP's is the one Beta Band album you need to hear. Whilst there is no disputing what a fantastic collection of music that is, their second full length album could well be considered their masterpiece. After their chaotic and instantly disowned S/T debut they came back with a much more cohesive and reflective album that played to the band's strengths. This is a very high quality and essential reissue of an album that desperately needed to be back out on wax. Must listen tracks -- Broke, Alleged and Squares.

Julia Holter - Aviary (Colored Vinyl)
    30.98
Julia Holter just keeps getting better and better. She started strongly with 2011's Tragedy and seems to be effortlessly becoming more daring and exciting as an artist each time she releases something. After the brilliant, Have You In My Wilderness, it was surprising to see that not only did she up the quality she also made it a double! A beautiful and haunting record from one of the best artists of the decade. Must listen tracks -- I Shall Love 2, Voce Simul and I Would Rather See.

    Grimes - Art Angels
    25.98
After her breakthrough album, Visions it was hard to predict what kind of album Grimes would return with. Turns out she isn't an artist that believes in repeating herself. There are still electronic elements to Art Angels, but there's also a technicolor punk side to this record. She's a hard one to categorize and that is a part of what makes her such a thrilling and unique artist. It's an album that deserved every single accolade it received in the 2015 end of year lists. Must listen tracks -- Flesh Without Blood, Kill V Maim and California.

Brian Eno - Ambient # 4: On Land
    26.98
Every time a Brian Eno album gets reissued on vinyl, the world seems to make just a little bit more sense. To think how hard it was to find anything of his for so many years, it's such a relief to see them back in print. These ambient albums in particular need to be on some good sounding wax and these latest reissues have been done to a really high standard. Must listen tracks -- Shadow, Lizard Point and A Clearing.

Flamin' Groovies - Villancourt Fountain, Justin Herman Plaza, San Francisco CA, Sep 19 1979
    25.98
The Flamin' Groovies are one of the underrated bands of the late 70s. Blending garage rock and new wave with 60s inspired pop gave them an edge of over other groups of that era. This live show from 1979 is the sound of the band at the peak of their powers. Reissued on orange and black vinyl this limited edition is a must for fans of the band. Must listen tracks -- Shake Some Action, All I Wanted and I Can't Hide.

    Beck - Odelay
    22.98
Writing about some of these albums is making me feel old. Has it really been 23 years since Beck put out Odelay? Obviously Beck has made a decent amount of great albums now, but he's never quite topped this genre defying masterpiece. The way he fuses so many genres whilst making everything so catchy and funky is why people still care about his output after almost 30 years in the game. Must listen tracks -- The New Pollution, Jack-Ass and Where It's At.

    Blur - Parklife
    26.98
Britpop was an interesting scene. Without mentioning any names, some of those groups haven't exactly aged that well. That's not the case with Parklife by Blur. 25 years on and this stands as one of the key releases that justifies why people got so excited about British guitar bands selling a lot of records again. It's very much of its time, but the hooks and songwriting still remains just as compelling. Must listen tracks - Trouble In The Message Centre, Badhead and This Is A Low.

    X - Wild Gift
    22.98
Fat Possum have done a brilliant job with the much needed reissues of the first four albums by X. The quality of the vinyl is high and the price is right. Wild Gift is the band's second release and could well be their masterpiece (although trying to pick between those four albums is one of those almost impossible decisions). It still has that tight playing and raw energy that made them some such a special group. Must listen tracks -- Adult Books, White Girl and In The House That I Call Home.

    XTC - Apple Venus
    31.98
How great were XTC? The transition from energetic nervy new wave group into some of the most ambitious and best songwriters England has ever seen is truly incredible. After the band went on strike following their fall-out with Virgin Records they eventually came back in 1999 with this gorgeous record that sadly went under the radar at the time. It finally gets the high quality vinyl reissue it deserves 20 years later. Can we have a Nonsuch reissue next please? Must listen tracks -- Easter Theatre, Harvest Festival and The Last Balloon.

Fuzzy Haskins - A Whole Nother Thang (Limited Edition)

The great thing about P Funk is that once you've gone through all the key Funkadelic and Parliament classics (and that is already a lot of great records), you can still have the fun of discovering all the side projects and solo albums by members of the P Funk team. Those guys were prolific! A Whole Nother Thing is one of the hidden gems in the P Funk back catalogue from one of the founding members. Out of print for a long time this beautiful limited reissue is very welcome. Must listen tracks -- Cookie Jar, The Fuz & Da Boog and Mr. Junk Man.
